Hi Ellie, thanks for sharing your story. Sorry you are struggling with weight gain. You're right, it is possible to be gain muscle in place of fat. I'm in that exact boat. I've been doing bootcamp for a month now and I wasn't losing any weight at all (at one point I GAINED a pound). It was discouraging until I noticed this week that my pants do feel a tad bit looser than before...the zipper pulls up much more easily. Also this week the scale has seemed to finally budge a bit. I'd like to make the following recommendations of things to look at:
1. What does your diet look like? Are you taking in more calories than you are working off? Exercise as we know is only one part of the equation to weight loss.
2. One way to tell if you are gaining muscle instead of fat is to also measure yourself at the beginning and end of this dietbet. The scale only shows one side of the full picture.
