Hi there! Sorry, could not comment about the water intake so I post it here. I'm citing: "The Institute of Medicine determined that an adequate intake (AI) for men is roughly about 13 cups (3 liters) of total beverages a day. The AI for women is about 9 cups (2.2 liters) of total beverages a day". So, no it's not 1l per 20kg as you see and it's pretty equal for any body type

Again, our amounts were quite the same (your source substracted the water intake from food, my 1 L per 20 kg included it).
Although the number is right for the average! person, I need to point out and explain that your statement "pretty equal for any body type" is wrong. How do you expect someone with a BMI of > 30 to supply his/her body MASS with the same amount of water than someone with a BMI of 19? Those numbers, 2,2 L for a woman... They don't take those numbers out of nothing, you know? They calculate! the needed amount water for the AVERAGE woman. Average as in average weight and average height. They calculate how much an average weighing avergage tall woman would need. It's like "The average person needs 2000 kcal daily". That may be true for the average person, but I am very small and slim, and I am not very active. So I need way less calories. And water.

Though you get greater differences calculating the individual amount of needed calories between individuals, than calculating the same thing for water, so the average will usually not be way too much or way too less for an individual. But don't forget that you cannot expect an obese person to drink the same amount of water than a thin person.
Summarizing it: We had similar numbers at the end, I only forgot to substract the water you take in through food, and you didn't think far enough.
