....and I made a dietbet while I was away! I can't believe it! Granted, things slid a little after that, but wow! I was 4 days into my trip and I'd lost weight!
Things I learned from this trip:
- I can totally travel and stay on track - if I prepare. My flights home were not good, because I didn't have snacks packed (for me - there were toddler snacks). So, I arrived home STARVED and that ended badly
- I feel soo soo much better when I eat well. I managed to stay 100% clean until Wednesday night, and really didn't go crazy until Friday when I decided I'd have ribs and ice cream since I'd been so good. I felt terrible that night, and really sluggish the next day - and because I felt sluggish I kept looking for solutions - more coffee, more diet coke, a scoop of ice cream....interestingly, one cheat meal on Wednesday night didn't make me feel like crap on Thursday -but continuous crappy eating did. So...
NEXT vacation (i.e. Christmas) I'm sticking to my regular one cheat meal, so I can feel good my whole vacation :-)
