Accountability is a MUST. I have known this for a long time (I tell my clients this all the time), but I am finding that I need this reminder. I am also discovering since it is becoming harder to workout outside and I have to make a trip to the YMCA to work out that if I don't have the accountability of meeting a friend there or someone checking in with me about whether I went, I am more likely to make an excuse to not go. There are always things to do at home, or even sleep can be the excuse as I usually work out in the morning. I actually have to admit that I like the accountability. I am also being asked to hold others accountable in this healthy lifestyle journey of exercising, eating better, and losing weight. This is a big responsibility and although I appreciate it and am honored by it, it is also huge.
I continue to be excited to go on this journey with others, especially two good friends, and learn better ways to hold others accountable. I encourage and welcome others to hold me accountable as well because I need it just like everyone else does. So even if you think I might not need the accountability, please know that I do.
