One thing that's made a lot of difference for me is measuring out an actual portion. Many times I'll measure out one serving of what I want. Then, sit down and eat it slowly with water. Surprisingly often, it's plenty. Get out the measuring cups, measuring spoons, and kitchen scale. Don't limit what, just focus on how much. If you finish and want more, make sure you've consumed 8-12 oz of water with your meal and wait 5-10 minutes for your stomach to catch up. At that time, if you're still hungry, go get more. Hopefully, this strategy might help.
