As I sit at my desk and skim through the days posts I am reminded of an incident at the gym some weeks ago. I was on a machine next to a woman with cancer. She was apparently in process of Chemo, had no hair, seemed weak and tired. But, she pressed. I sat there and pushed my body a little harder as I talked to God. "God, I thank you for the activity of my limbs. I will honor you in a way I push my physical body to it's limits. I will not take my strength and health for granted. I refuse to make an excuse for why I cant hit the gym or why I am making bad food choices that cause damage instead of nourish me. That is not how You intended me to live." As I sat next to her I pushed so hard not just to get it in for me, but to get it in for her too.

It saddens me to read post after post of : " I binged on brownies." "I'm feeling sick." "I'm tired today." " I couldn't resist the drive-thru". "My kids are sick." "My back hurts." "It's cold outside.

If you're sick, puke and get back to work.

If you're tired, step it up and push harder.

If your tempted by junk stay away from it.

If your body hurts do some yoga.

If you can't resist a drive thru grow a pair.

There are people that don't have the option to be well and they still fight for it. There are NO EXCUSES good enough! I will hit the gym at any cost today. I will eat right and in moderation today. I will do things I don't feel like doing today. BECAUSE I CAN!

I may not be where I want to be, but I am absolutely where someone would love to be!
