
Once again I find myself starting a diet. However, this time I am committed to making a lifestyle change as diets are temporary.
I realize it won't be easy and at times I may even backslide, but I refuse to fail. I finally realize that there is a finish line, but I don't need to get there is the shortest amount of time. I always put a lot of pressure on myself to get the weight of fast and that has led to long term failure.
Slow and steady is my new course of action. Make better food choices, drink water (because it really is key to weight loss) and get myself moving. No more excuses as to why I can't exercise. No more driving to the gym, walking in to use the restroom and then leaving.
I'm done setting unrealistic goals for myself that set me up for failure. This journey is not about the scale anymore, it's about feeling better and being healthy!
