Whole30 for the 30+

Ultimately, I think I'll be eating more Paleo-ish than strict Paleo, I don't see any reason to completely cut out raw dairy, peanuts, rice, or white potatoes from my diet. A lot of people have different ideas of what Paleo means, anyway. Some paleo folks are completely against any added sugars at all - even honey, maple, or coconut. Some are against even fruit. I think everyone should make their own rules, because everyone has different allergies and health problems.

Hey Hey Shanaenae

I agree with you, desertcat - everything in moderation, including moderation :). (Honestly: for me, they'll have to pry fresh fruit and whole, skin-on roasted potatoes out of my cold, dead hands - I'll never believe that there's no room for such things in a healthy, balanced diet!) I *am* doing the Whole30, though, to "reset" myself after indulging in too many sugary, bloaty, gluttony treats during the holidays. Hopefully my Whole30 experience will allow me (and all the other Whole30-ers) to experience what a body fueled by "clean" foods feels like, AND help me determine if I have any underlying food sensitivities that I've been ignoring all these years. We'll see where this experiment goes!
