I can't believe it! 6lbs lost this week. This has never happened in 1 week. It normally takes 3-4 weeks for that to even happen, sometimes longer. NOW, I know I am nowhere near where I want to be but I am taking one day at time, one meal at a time approach on this. This carb cycling program by Chris Powell is EXACTLY what I've been looking for. I'm not depriving myself but have eliminated a lot of things I really thought were no big deal (sushi, pork, honey- thats been a bit hard; but thanks for xylitol) and NOT eliminated many many of my favorite things (yogurt, meat,cheese - yes cheese). Thanks to Jenn Carlson for planting this dietbet in my head (got the gamblers attention in me). It was motivation I lacked and not I finally found (with a lot of prayers from God-seriously! just to keep my motivation). Did I mention this week was practically easy for me. Even when I thought I was doing it wrong, I lost. I don't know what week 2 has in store for me. Wouldn't it be great to still lose this same amount this week?! but I'm not going to think that way. I'm sticking to it. I know what works, I know what doesn't for me. I'm 3 pounds away from my goal for this "bet" but THATs not stopping me. I'm going going until it's gone!!!
