I must confess...I am a sayer and not a doer when it comes to my weight. I always say I'm going to do it, but I never do it. I'm sad to say that I have signed up with this website before, but I have never lost weight...not even a pound.
The good news is I truly plan to succeed this time. This is the first time I have actively engaged on this website. (Yay me). I have determined the main problems leading to my lack of weight loss and I am going to confront them head-on...or maybe from the side in some cases. Below are my main "issues" and my plans moving forward.
- I eat out a lot because I travel a lot.
- Plan: Make meals to take on the road with me and make smarter choices when I have to eat out.
- I don't exercise much because of pain issues in my lower back and neck.
- Plan: Start small...walk in the water or ride a bike twice a week to start. If pain doesn't increase, either add more days per week or longer durations.
- I know I'm going to fail so why try.
- Plan: Quit feeling sorry for myself! Start small. Do not try to overhaul everything at once, but make small changes that will become lasting changes.
So, confession time...I'm doing ok. Not great, but good. I have cut my portions in half, made smarter food choices and I keep saying that I'm going to do this. I haven't exercised but I have made a point to walk further distances on all errands. I have scheduled pool time for next week. Oh yeah...I've also lost 1.6 pounds!!!
