I love my steamer!  I do green beans, broccoli, cauliflower, brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes & sometimes carrots.  I like to make extras so the next meal I can just reheat in the microwave (like lunch at work or when I don't have time at dinner time).

I've been roasting veggies in the oven or you could do it in foil on the grill.  This was from Weigh Watchers.  I've been spraying a cookie sheet with nonstick spray then cutting up different colored peppers, mushrooms, zuchini squash and okra - lay then out on the sheet, spray a light nonstick spray over them & sprinkle with salt/pepper/seasoning & cook in the oven on 350 for 20-30 minutes.  Again, make a bunch so it's ready to grab, reheat & eat.  You could use other veggies that you like as well.  This is very low calorie.

I just discovered sweet potatoes last month.  Shut the front door!!! I either spray a cookie sheet with nonstick spray or I use a little olive oil on the potatoes & bake in the oven.  I cut them in skinny wedges (they are a little hard to cut) spread on the cookie sheet & sprinkle with salt/pepper & bake away.  Soooo good!  I have also cut this in chunks & steam them & cooked in the microwave like a baked potatoe.  I haven't found a way I don't like them :)

If any veggies in the fridge are getting near retirement  I steam or bake them in the oven before it's too late.

I also have a nutribullet which I use for breakfast many days.  Again, any fruit nearing retirement get thrown in the freezer so they can be used up in my smoothie.  I get strawberry protein powder at walmart for extra protein in my drinks.

I've been eating a lot of the above as sides to my main dish.  Try somethin new you might just love it!!!
