I am on this dietbet journey to lose 4% or approx. 10lbs. I am now finished week 2 and at 50% to my goal.  Just in the first 2 weeks I'm noticing changes in me emotionally and physically, and I thought it would be a good time to celebrate the little successes I'm achieving along the way to continue to push me to achieve my long term goal which is to be at around my ideal weight of 156lbs or around that number.

Everyday I would write in my notebook what activity I had done for the day, track my water and hours of sleep. Just by going that I have come to notice that my ideal amount of sleep is 6 hours.  When I got 7 or 8 hours I was super tired still, but 6 I was fully awake and pumped to take on the day.  I also kept in mind the 3 tips Cassey mentioned to why we don't lose weight:

  1. Sleep - I've been going to bed earlier, and as mentioned have determined my ideal sleep.
  2. Water - I track every cup of water I take in my journal, there is still room for improvement on this one.
  3. Stress - As the oldest of 5 kids I had always felt the burden of siblings on my shoulders and forgot to take care of myself. So I told everyone that right now is my time and my stress levels have improved.

Some other small success are I can actually clasp my hands behind my back to stretch when before my 2 index fingers were having to cling and hold.  I would also give up all the time during ab work in class, and now I can manage a lot longer.  I use to have 7.5lb weights and now I'm using the 10lbs for Tabata.

Looking forward to achieving more tiny successes towards my ultimate goal.

Cheers!
