Weight loss really is about motivation.  I have done the Atkins diet before and gotten used to losing 10-15 pounds in 2 weeks, but it's not sustainable.  As soon as you stop you gain it back and it's hard on your kidneys.  I do recommend it as a jump starter, and if like me you are very heavy and addicted to sugar.  Sugar really is an addiction.  A number of studies have come out and stated it.

I have been diligently participating in my 60 day insanity max 30 workout program.  I am at the end of week 3 and I love it.  I love it so much I actually set myself back a bit by working out too much.  I started doing two workouts a day instead of one and I wound up gaining weight.  I gained weight because my body was so revved up, I started eating poorly at night.  I am back to one workout a day and watching my diet.  As a result I have started to lose weight again.   Regardless of the weight, the fact that I haven't missed one workout is having an extremely positive effect.  I have only lost 12 pounds but I feel better, stronger, and more agile.  I am getting definition and slimming down.  I like working out, and once you reach that important step half the battle is won.  They say weight loss is 30% excercise and 70% nutrition.  The battle continues for me but I am getting better.  I don't want to just lose weight, I want to change how I live for good and not yo yo anymore.  That doesn't mean I am going to completely give up the things I love, but it does mean I must learn to limit my intake of them and maintain a balance.
