Two years ago, I worked at Dunkin Donuts. By the time I had left, I found that I had gained thirty pounds. THIRTY POUNDS?!? I was disgusted with myself and my body image. I couldn't believe that I didn't notice I was gaining weight at the time until it was too late. What I learned from this experience, never eat Dunkin Donuts again. 1) Nothing they sell has any nutritional value whatsoever (unless you're buying a black coffee or green tea), and 2) You're paying for regret. You see a delicious donut or muffin and you buy it thinking "One donut won't hurt, right?" WRONG. My advise, don't eat it. It does nasty things to your body. I will never again eat anything from Dunkin Donuts.
Here we are, two years later, and I am FINALLY almost back to my high school/ideal weight. Not only because I wanted to fit into my cute shorts and tops again, but because I want to feel better about myself. I am more confident with my body image and my size, but more importantly I feel energized every day. I have more energy to do the things that I love to do such as go into school every day and teach today's youth how to use technology. I find that I am tired less often than I used to be, and I feel GOOD! This is only one benefit of what eating right and exercising can do for us!
Last summer, when I finally decided I needed to lose the weight I had gained, I found Joanna's videos on YouTube. I subscribed to her channel, watched her videos, and completed many of her exercise routines. A few months later, she introduced me to DietBet. I was reluctant to join at first because money is tight and I had to pay $30 to join. I did some research and in the long run, decided to go for it. With my money on the line, I was more motivated than ever to exercise. I got into a rountine of getting on the treadmill every day except Sunday. Add in some healthy foods and subtract the sweets and you have - BAM - weight loss! I was so excited to see the scale start dropping that it was more motivation to continue. I won Joanna's first DietBet, and that was a really good feeling. I went on after that to do two more bets, winning all of them.
Here I am, in my last DietBet challenege hopefully ever, about to get to my life goal weight of 110lbs. This has been the motivation that I needed to get my life back in order, and I couldn't be more grateful. If I ever have any friends in the future who need help with weight loss, I am going to refer them to DietBet, and also Joanna's YouTube channel because I love her <3
So thank you Joanna Soh, you gave me the head start that I needed to get my life back on track, and introduced me to a better, healthier lifestyle!
