Regardless of whether or not I win this dietbet, I am so glad I've joined.  I am in two Dietbets and they have already made a difference for me.  It is difficult to diet for a long time and not slip up.  Right out of the gate I lost 6 pounds and then I floundered.  I gained back 3 pounds and then lost 2 (cheat days and nights).  Throw in a birthday celebration and here I sit, 2 days from weighing in for the Blogaties challenge and 4 days for the Transformeer.  I have hit my weight for the transformer and I just need to maintain it.  For the Blogaties challenge I currently sit at 269.2 pounds.  I need to lose exactly 3 pounds to hit 267.2.  Even if I don't hit it, the fact that I haven't given up, and I have worked out almost everyday has been worth it.  I have not skipped a single day in my Max 30 workout program.  Dietbet has helped prevent me from going backwards.  This past Saturday I had a cheat date with my fiancee.  My problem is she cheats a little and I cheat alot.  The thought of the coming weigh in saved me.  Instead of not thinking about what I was eating, I controlled the cheating.  We went out to dinner and instead of appetizers and entrees we just had appetizers.  Instead of 5 beers I had 2.  Instead of a late night snack, I didn't eat anything.  As a result I gained a half pound, and I have a chance to make weight.  That is all I can ask for, and that is the real power of Dietbet.  Win or lose the motivation it provides is invaluable.  Someone asked if they should join the transformer for next month.  They said they didn't know if they could keep up the 3% weight loss.  I commented and said I paid the entire transformer fee up front to save the $25 bucks and to keep me motivated.  Thats what this is all about.  We can't doubt ourselves and be afraid that we won't make it or fail.  We only fail if we don't get up.  You only lose a Dietbet if you don't keep trying to lose weight.  You don't lose a Dietbet by not making weight.   Keep fighting everyone and believe in yourself!  Wish me luck!  I need three pounds in three days and I'm not starving myself.   Low calorie clean eating and I'm going to exercise to Max 30 till I drop!
