This is for all you moms out there that your body doesn't look the same after having children.

I had my first child in 2012, she was wonderful and amazing.   But unfortunately,  I gained 60 pounds during the pregnancy.   I was sick most of the time and eating made me feel better.   Since it was my first,  I wanted to do everything right for her.  I made healthy choices when eating, quit drinking soda, and walked.  So it was annoying to me that I gained so much weight and I was determined to lose it.  Weighing in at 237 pounds was hard for me. And to make it even harder after 32 hours of labor, I had to have a c-section.  The first 4 weeks of recovery were awfully painful so I couldn't do much.  I did managed to keep off 40 pounds of it before I got pregnant with my second child.  My first was so wonderful we decided to try for another.

We had no problems getting pregnant and had our second child in 2013, 19 months after my first.   With this one I had gestional diabetes and actually learned more about what to eat in the correct portions.  So in my last trimester I lost 9 pounds instead of gaining. By the time I had my second child, I weighed 220.  It amazed me that walking 10 minutes after each meal made so much of a difference.

Still very unhappy with my weight and 2 c-sections later, I determined.  Since I got to start this weight loss journey less than my first, I knew I could do it.  I made it down to my pre-pregnancy weight in 3 months.   By December 2013, I weighed 177 but still looked pregnant and huge.  I actually was asked on multiple times when I was due!  Really I lost all of my pregnancy weight and I am getting asked when my next child is coming!  The bad thing about it was I kinda sympathize with them because when I looked in the mirror I saw the same thing!  I looked pregnant!

I was able to kind of maintain for next 6 months.  In July 2014, I weighed in at 183.6 and was still discouraged about my appearance.  Then my answer to my problem was given to me, Nerium.   I was introduced to a new product that at first I was skeptic about.  This was going to tighten my hanging skin and in 30 days if I was dissatisfied I could get my money back. I felt I had nothing to loose except my "apron".  I was amazed by my results within 5 days.  I was sure I was going to have to have skin surgery to get rid of my excess skin before using Nerium.

Finally 3 months later, I had the results I needed to motivate me to lose more weight.  By this time I had gained and was approaching 200 pounds again.  October 2014, I weighted in at 192, I joined a bootcamp and started to get into shape.  And let me tell you I was so out of shape it was crazy!  By November 30th, I weighed 187.  I only added exercise and drinking some water to lose the weight.  Silly of me to think, I could exercise and still eat poorly and the weight should fly off!

By January 2015, I was getting more determined and didn't feel so pathetic at the gym.  I was still doing my bootcamp and was not losing weight.   I realize I had to add eating and I joined DietBet on January 26th to keep me honest.  My official weigh in was 185.4 on January 26th when the game began!

I choose to do no diet plan and do low calories.   I did 1200 to 1400 calories daily and one day of 2200 calories.   I never was a good at logging food so I choose the way Ali Vincent suggested. I took my total daily calories and divide them by 4. So my goal was 300 or so calories a meal and 2 snacks at 150 calories daily.  Also I drank 100 ounces of water daily.   I did 38 ounces each morning when I got up. I found it easily if I jumpstarted my day with water and I believe it helps your body too.  Also I did 2 bootcamp classes a week.  My goal of 10,000 steps daily wasn't always met but I was aware and did make it most days. Some days were as high as 25,000 steps.  On March 1, 2014, I finished my first 2 DietBets and weighed at 175.8 and was so excited about where I was going!  I knew I could do this, because I had a cheat day every week!
