So I decided that along with doing the DietBet, I would blog about my journey as well. Since other people in the community will see this, I feel it may keep me more accountable. I weighed myself this morning and I have lost only .8lbs so far, and I need to lose 2.6lbs per week. This was kind of disappointing at first, but I need to remind myself that I didn’t start dieting and exercising when I started the bet, I had been doing it for a while, so NO I will have lose 5lbs this week and that’s ok. I did do the math though to make sure I am burning enough calories versus what I am eating, and I am! I need to trust the process! As long as I have a 1,300 calorie deficit each day, I should be ok. The change I did make from before the DietBet is that I am being very strict with counting calories in and calories out. Also I have upped my FitBit step goal from 6K a day to 10K a day. Finally, I have been taking the stairs at work instead of the elevator. So far I have done 11 flights today. My next habit I need to get into is drinking water. If I have 40 oz. of water in day, it’s a good day.
