So I signed up for another round of Dietbet with Shaun T.
I just finished Jillian Michael's and am wrapping up another bet next week. I'm a little all over the place this week, weight wise, but mostly because of the 'timing'. That said, I'm pretty solidly beneath my goal weight for that dietbet too, so I'd be surprised if I wasn't able to at least maintain that for the next few days.
But this next one: This will be the real challenge for me. Doing 4 months of dietbets, back to back, means that every month gets that much harder. And since I am coming *very* close to my goal weight, I have to be careful not to put on more lean muscle mass than I actually lose in body fat.
That's always a careful negotiation when it comes to the scale. Thankfully, this month my focus is really on run training. I have a 5 km this weekend, another 5 km in May, a triathlon in June, a 10 Km in August and a half marathon in September. So, I guess that 'running' is actually the theme for the entire summer.
I do still need to make sure that I remember to work the other areas of my body too. I will be continuing with T25 and will be beginning 21DF Extreme in mid May. My goal is to be at goal weight (about 13 pounds away) by the end of June. Then everything will be about strength and definition.
It is really hard to believe that I am reaching the end of this phase of my health journey. I am nearing the 100 lbs lost mark, and hardly recognize my body at this point. I no longer remember what it was like to be obese....and I sometimes forget that exercise and health weren't always a huge focus in my life.
Now I have new questions to answer: What's next? What goals do I add to my life now that I have crushed, or will have crushed, almost everything on my list by September.
It is time for me to start writing a new bucket list...I still have many mountains left to climb, and I am going to need a road map to get me there!
