Preparation for Summer Shakedown!!

Seeing that this is a Biggest Loser related group, I will tell you about my meeting with Patrick House, the Season 10 winner. Patrick spoke at our gym and I got a couple of minutes with him afterwards, and he told me the secret to how he won, and it came from Bob Harper - find a basic menu that you don't mind eating every day, that fits within your calorie budget; then eat it....every day. Patrick restricted himself to 800 calories a day, which he does not recommend you do for real life change. For me, I have found that I can get by with a protein shake for breakfast; a fruit for mid morning snack; chicken and vegetable soup for lunch (which I make myself); V8 for a mid afternoon snack; then a sensible dinner. This puts me in about 1600-1800 calories a day, and my fitbit says I burn about 3000 a day, so for me it's just about staying on plan, and not diverting/digressing when I get hungry.

make sure you're eating enough buddy! this isn't a whole lot given your activity level... maybe throw in some oatmeal with your morning shake ???

thanks Jen! It's really a struggle to get the calories in/calories out ratio just right!
