Just found the podcast by gretchen rubin called "happier" and she has a framework of how different people meet expectations. I am whole heartedly an obliger...which means I keep commitments made to others but not to myself. Since realizing this I am working on setting up external accountability around my weight loss efforts. DietBet is just one in the long list of external commitments. I am seeing a doctor for medical weight loss help (supplementation and nutrition consultation), I joined TOPS (Taking off pounds sensibly) again, my office knows I'm packing my lunch and going to the gym on my lunch break. My husband knows I'm back on track. Thinking of all the people I have involved now...plus a $25 bet should help keep me on track.

My strategy is to eat low carb, take my vitamins, exercise daily and plan, plan,plan.
