Yesterday was the first day of this challenge. However, I had a delicious slightly unhealthy breakfast which encouraged me not to count calories. I know, not a good start. However, I watched what I ate. Today, I started counting calories. It's going amazingly well! While writing this, I'm a bit hungry, but that's just my late-night snack urge talking. I'm not giving in. Instead, I'm brewing a cup of green tea right now. Isn't that great?

I'm not only counting calories to lose weight. On the contrary! I'm counting calories in order for my body to get used to smaller portions. I have noticed that I'm eating more than recommended. That's probably how I gained the weight in the first place. Therefore, by eating smaller portions and dividing these over the day will help my body adjust and not be so hungry all the time. In addition, I hope my body will get used to getting less sugar, as I'm planning to eat healthy snacks. Also, I believe it gives me great power and control. I love control. I'm one of those almost OCD people who plan their day and need everything organised in order to work. Both a bad and good quality. Anyhow, I'm counting calories and feeling awesome! I met my goal for today, actually, I'm even 20 kcal below my goal. Yay! Tomorrow, I will have my first weigh-in after the submission and I'm really excited. Despite the slightly unhealthy breakfast yesterday, I secretly hope it's already paying off! :)

Off to making my lunchbox ready for tomorrow and jump into bed with my cup of tea and a good book.

Good night!
