Carly - I think this is a great blog post! You are so right. We need to focus on the positive things...and, often, the scale is not at all a judge of how far we have come. I found that the best step that I took in my weight loss approach had nothing at all to do with diet and exercise - it was to get rid of the negativity in my mind and stop hanging out with people that had me thinking negatively all the time. A change in mindset was what set me on my path to achieving my goals - I still have a ways to go and I still slip up but it is becoming less frequent. I hope that these positive things that you've focused on are the key that gets you rolling and helps the pounds disappear forever!
