
I'm 68 years old and I've lost 85 lbs. The first 50+ I lost with DietBet, doing a Transformer plus two Kickstarts.
I started in June 2014 at 250 lbs and I now weigh around 165. I haven't been playing DietBet for awhile but I've continued to lose and maintain.
I look and feel great. And I want to get to the mid-140's.
And then go on to 125 just to see how it feels. Or at least to 129. I want to break into the 120's at least once. :)
I spent several years before I started losing weight only focusing on changing my mindset and learning and locking in new habits. My only goal for those several years was to maintain my weight during that time--at 250 lbs!
Professionally I do a lot of work that uses neuroscience so I understand a lot about how the brain works. I knew I had to take my guilt trip thinking and turn it into guilty pleasure thinking.
Now eating in a way to lose 100+ lbs is a total guilty pleasure for me. I don't experience struggle, temptation or deprivation about what I do and don't eat. Instead it's actually easy, effortless and fun to eat the way I do now.
I get so many compliments on how I look now (and I feel great!) that it's easy to just maintain my weight. But I'd really like to lose another 25 lbs for sure (and then go for another 15 to see how it feels.)
Doing DietBet helps me stay on the losing track so I'm back for another Transformer!
