It sucks, I injured myself, my neck and concussion 😭 Can only hit diet harder.... Cannot workout 😩 Will try my best to stay on point to keep losing, so far I am 75% to my goal for the month!

That’s really awesome that you’re doing so well on diet in spite of that rough injury. That’s really hard, recently went through that, too. If I may recommend that you be mindful of the cravings. It’s something I didn’t consider and my diet ended up suffering in the long run. Your brain is healing so try to get it nutrient dense food even when it’s craving other things. I didn’t realize it was happening and I was eating more junk than I ever usually did until I finally noticed. You can do it. :muscle:

Thank you for the kind words everyone! @alana B you saying the right thing! I feel like I have been munching on stuff I shouldn’t have been :sweat_smile: But I seem to balance it with just a salad for dinner and it works so far.. I do have to step it up though since I can’t do any physical activity!

I’ve been in this game for a week so I did my weekly weigh in. Have y’all done a weekly weigh in? How are you feeling in the game? I lost 1 pound this week. Really I yo-Yo’d and at my lowest I had lost 3 pounds. But for my weigh in I lost 1. I’m feeling ok. I know I need to do better with my nutrition. I joined a RunBet and I got in all 4 of my runs but I’m thinking I need to push more. 15 days left in round one. We can do this!

A pound a week is good progress! I weighed in and lost 2/10 of a pound. It's not much but I'm glad to see it gone.

Exercise is great and really important to overall health, but diet has much more influence on weight loss. It's way easier to not eat a calorie than it is to burn one off. I try to eat 500 calories less than I typically would eat in a day (I cut out my breakfast toast and snacks between meals and I'm basically there), and I don't eat more on the days I exercise if my energy level allows it. I've had more success with this strategy than anything else I've done in the last 2 years trying to consistently lose weight (I already hit my weight goal this month). All bodies are different though!

If you're having a hard time resisting snacking (my main focus right now!), I've found a super simple but highly effective strategy:

Brush your teeth!

I've found that most of the time, I really just wanted a different taste in my mouth. Also, the lingering toothpaste flavor would make most of what I was craving taste gross, and I stop craving it. Just thought I would share in case it's helpful for anyone else.

Beautiful. I have a large coconut wood spoon that I use as a rice paddle. I love it although it is a little difficult to clean. Have you found this to be true of your new spoons and bowls?

After a weekend that included a Dairy Queen blizzard, a lot of marshmallows, several chocolate bars, and loaded bean dip, I am back at it and it's full steam ahead! Don't let one bad weekend decide how you're going to spend the following week/month.

P.S. It's nice to splurge every now and then. Remember, we aren't machines. ;)

That is super similar to my go to, a 2 egg scramble with spinach, tomatoes and some shredded cheddar to make the eggs nice and creamy.
