I was able to do about 60 to 80 squats a day!

Non-scale victory of the week!

Yesterday our daughter got married! Luncheon at Cracker barrel. Ordered my food and a Go-Box. Took more than 1/2 the food off the plate and packed it up- out of sight/ out of mind! 26° this morning. I bundled up and went for my 1.4 mile walk :)

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Focus Focus Focus. I need to be more mindful and make sure I drink my water and have healthy (mostly fresh veggies) on hand. I didn't work all week, so my routine was disrupted.

Monitor my food intake. I was doing really well with that and got off track.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I have been doing squats every day. I am working toward 100 squats a day. Some days it's 40, Sunday I hit 80! Monday I was off from work and so was my granddaughter. I took her to my seated exercise class! Sharing healthy choices with the next generation :) I had a doctor appointment yesterday and took the stairs to the 2nd floor.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

More water. More walking. Less snacking (even if it's healthy and low-fat, it's still eating off-plan)

What are your goals for the upcoming week?

Get out and get moving more. The weather is tricky, so I will make adjustments- wear an extra hoodie, mittens, etc.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I walked every day this week. I drank at least 50 oz of water. I watched my portion sizes and was conscious of mindless snacking. I lost 2 pounds- not my goal, but I'll take it! I went out to lunch with a friend and chose a salad instead of something heavy. When my salad arrived, it was enough for a family! I asked the waiter for a Go-Box and took half of my salad off my plate and packed it for later! My husband and I were able to share the salad with our dinner :)

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

I didn't attend any of my aerobics classes- the Zumba I wanted to attend was cancelled, but I still walked. I managed to have a "free period" at school and walked for 15 minutes in the gym.

Get in at least 2 aerobics classes and walk every day. Continue drinking water and not going out to eat. :)

Non-scale victory of the week!

I made it a goal to get up earlier and I walked every day at least 1 mile (even when it was 19 degrees out 2 days in a row!). I participated in my aerobics class one day this week. I managed to even get in a 15-minute walk during my "free" class period. I monitored my eating and drank at least 6 glasses of water every day. I did fit into a smaller pair of jeans (size 22) YAY!

I could have participated in at least one extra class at aerobics.

Monday I will participate in a Zumba class being offered at the school where I sub. I will continue to monitor my eating and make it a point to get up early and get my walk in.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I really did NOT want to get up and walk on Friday- my feet hurt from aerobics on Thursday. But I got up and walked about 1.4 miles. My feet still hurt, but I got my walk in. I've been mindfully drinking water and following the lessons from the book: "Brain Powered Weight Loss" by Eliza Kingsford (got the book at Dollar Tree!) I also learned a new tip- eat until no longer hungry, not to feeling full. That has really helped me stay on track. I read an interview with Kathy bates where she was talking about her substantial weight loss. Her tip was to eat slower and when you "sigh", you are finished. I have been paying attention to that little pause.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

More walking. I get up early to get my older dogs out (they can no longer walk with me :( ) By the time I've meandered all over the yard with them, I either don't have time to walk before work or I've lost my motivation.

Following the lessons from "Brain-Powered Weight Loss". I bought a binder and have printed up the worksheets. I will be more diligent in logging in my food intake.

Non-scale victory of the week!

I did not take a roll with my lunch yesterday at work. My mid-morning snack was a banana and I drank 2 big 22 oz cups of water while at work. A student gave me a lemon-blueberry muffin (my favourite) but I was able to pass it on to someone else before it had a chance to sit and stare at me, tempting me! There were 2 lemon cupcakes left over from the other day (here at my house) My granddaughter took both of them! I did go to my aerobics class last night- first one in the New Year!

Walked more. Portion control mindset...being more intentional with my eating.

EVERYTHING! I totally fell off the wagon this summer and it shows! I gained back about 6 pounds, so I have a hole to dig out of.

Non-scale victory of the week!

This morning at church there were donuts. I can easily refuse glazed donuts (I told myself we don't like them!) There was one donut- old fashioned with coconut on it. I cut it in half! :) Not totally abstaining, but better than eating the whole donut or eating 1000+ calories trying to counter a craving.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Drink more water. Walking more- it's been 95+ degrees and this summer I am not tolerating the heat well.

Non-scale victory of the week!

Gained almost 2 pounds. Feel like I was eating everything that wasn't nailed down or on fire. I need to get back on track. I did go to my aerobics classes. last week, though, I missed 2 classes and just felt out of it. But, today is Tuesday. I went to class and walked my dog this morning! I spent most of the morning/ early afternoon out side (not eating) and raking my yard!

Drink more water. I could have ridden my bike to work yesterday (it threatened rain, so I didn't)
