  • @Brie, while you can drink too much water (search water intoxocation), 80 oz. drank through the day should be fine.

  • Dinner 🍲- anyone else using a mixing bowl to make and eat their salads out of ?? Haha
    Mixed greens salad , cucumber , carrots , green apples , a couple of candied pecans crushed up and vegan ranch dressing. So yum!
    I’ve also been air frying pretty much every veggie in my fridge. So far so good!

Any other moms here struggle with “dinner and done”? I swear once my kids go to bed, I just wanna unwind with a snack. And of course that’s always about an hour before I go to bed and I know it’s not good to do that. My weakness is 100 calorie bag of popcorn and a SF pudding.

My scale is creeping so slowly that I just know this late snacking has to be my biggest issue now.

This week I gained 😞 I didn’t track and I snacked. 😞😞 I’m disappointed bc I have almost 100 lbs to lose so I really need to stay focused. For the upcoming week, I want to track daily and try to workout2-3 days. I haven’t worked out in a long time so I figure start slowly. Unfortunately and I guess fortunately this morning I had a realization that around this point I always fall apart. Now to get my head back in the game. This isn’t even about winning, it’s about being her for my kids and grandkids (hopefully a long time from now).

I don't know if this helps but my naturopathic doctor always says it's a journey not a destination. I haven't made a lot of progress with weight this year but have had a lot of other good wins. Sleep better, way healthier eating, more active etc. I told her I was still disappointed in myself though because my weight loss is sooooo slow. She said but you are still here. For a year you show up to your appointments and make healthy changes and you are still trying and as long as you do that you will get there, as long as you don't give up. I needed to hear that so bad. Hope that helps you!

Thanks I will try more cardio. Watching what I eat but have been using weights and man do I feel it (a good feel)

Muscle helps your body burn fat though so in the long run having good muscle will be a benefit.

This week has been hard. At work they celebrated both national hot dog day and national ice cream day! Plus they had a cookout to celebrate the start of the Olympics. That's a lot of free food! Today, the manager offered to buy subs for everyone and I turned it down.

Seems like a fun job. But I understand that you probably feel isolated at lunch time when you bring out your prepared food. Situations like this I just decide to eat smaller amounts and still participate with everybody else.
