The main exercise I get is daily lunchtime walks with my family. I don’t do it to lose weight. The food I eat is really what matters for weight loss. Regardless, I would recommend seeing what you can do to help her in general. Suggest meal planning together. Offer to cook meals (if you don’t already).

Whenever I get into health mode I start drinking smoothies for breakfast:
3 cups Kale/Spinach
2 cups water
2 Bananas
1/2 cup frozen Berries
1 cup frozen mixed fruit
1 scoop of protein powder.
1 tbsp of flax/chia seeds

I always feel hungry a few hours later. I though it wasn't enough protein or fiber or maybe I wasn't chewing enough... Now I'm thinking I might just be hungry because of the calorie restriction in general. I'm pretty sure my body is going to fight my brain for every single pound I want to loose.

I agree with Erin to add more protein and reduce the banana. I use 2% milk for my liquid (less than 1 cup) and 1 small or 1/2 large banana.

Yes! I agree wihh the Erin. The extra banana might be spiking your blood sugar too high leading to hunger too quick.
Greek yogurt sounds like a great substitute. One tip is to freeze some yogurt cubes for texture

Good morning. This is my first DietBet and I feel a bit lost. I started off strong and committed. However, I went out to dinner last night and overindulged in everything. Up almost a pound today. I really don't want a setback to derail my forward progress and am going to try to recenter and push forward. Any suggestions would be welcome.

You can do it, I started a bit later & am committing NOW. What I’ve learned from dieting, falling off, dieting….is don’t wait. Don’t feel bad, get your water in, get the veggies going & move forward. Forgiveness & grace…:relaxed:
