My current social life consists entirely of going to my sister's house every weekend, which is the only socializing I'm allowed to do under our current covid restrictions.

But I just found this picture that I love from The Beforetimes, when my friend Natalie had a dinner party, then we all went downtown to a burlesque show. In between we did some tequila shots and had a little dance party with her kitties!

I live in a small town, but it's an arts town so we had some fun events when we were allowed to. Live music, drag shows, burlesque, once a strip spelling bee that I actually won tickets to and then ended up missing because I had the flu. I gave my tickets to a friend who told me it was very silly and fun. I don't go to bars just for the sake of going to a bar, but I do miss these events.

I missed #FancyFriday. I wasn't on until late last night, when I was on my couch in sweatpants and not about to get up and get fancy. I started looking through my phone for pictures of myself all fancied up and realized I don't really do that. But then I remembered this picture, a slightly different kind of fancy than most of you probably had in mind. My aerial silks studio does a Halloween show every year and when I realized last year that we were going to miss it because of covid, I got very sad because it's my favourite thing every year. So I decided to wear my costume from the previous year's show (I was a reptile and had my face painted and coloured contacts, it was pretty cool) to a regular class and it made me feel a little better. Green and sparkly is pretty fancy, right?
