Stress eating is such a difficult thing. I've slooooowwwwwwllllllyyyyyyyyy managed to change over my stress relief more into working out and less into food, but there are some days that only ice cream will help! And I think that's ok. Sometimes it helps to say out loud "I'm not hungry, I'm eating this because I'm stressed." Like, somehow recognizing what's happening helps me get back into the moment and think through what I'm doing and consciously look for other ways to deal with my feelings. Hang in there and lean on us for support. We are here for you!!!!

  • Hello! My name is Teena and I'm new to this. I'm currently serving in the military and I recently failed a PT test. If you know anything about our military, you know that they take it very serious. I absolutely love my job and felt completely defeated and disappointed with myself. My past thoughts of PT tests was just working out enough to get a passing score and then eat all the desserts and fried chicken until my next test. I want to change that, not just for my career, but for myself. This failure was an eye-opener that I need to change. I'm working on learning better eating habits and fitness practices. I'm using Dietbet as a stepping stone into making this a habit for a life long change.

The motivator for me is when I literally can not breathe when tying my shoes. I was there again back in December. Major NSV tonight, I was putting lotion on my feet tonight and I had my foot no more than 12 inches from my head, and breathing just fine. I have much more to lose, but I totally get the I’m out of shape and I gotta fix this. Good luck in achieving your goals.

  • Hey, y’all! It’s me!

    My name is Melody and I’m from New Orleans (although born and raised in Arkansas). I started out my weight loss journey in early 2017 after having my second child, my beautiful daughter. Her birth nearly killed me and triggered a blood pressure condition that we weren’t able to get under control - I needed to lose weight. So I did it slowly, changing one habit at a time, eventually losing over 100 pounds. I’ve now maintained that weight loss for over a year and am working on building muscle as a part of my sustainability plan.

    My favorite comfort food is cereal. And ice cream. And steak? I really love food. :D

    I heard once that women blink twice as often as men and I feel like there is a joke in that fact but I just can’t put my finger on it!

    And I’m neither. Can’t stay up late. Can’t get up early. But, like... in the mid afternoon? It’s ON LIKE DONKEY KONG.
