My weight fluctuates--by 5 lbs sometimes. I'm an athlete (triathlon), and hydration levels and carb intake can affect the number on the scale. I did a really sweaty spin workout yesterday too. For the bet, I weighed in at night, and this morning's weight was a few lbs lower. I tend to be lighter in the morning. It's just water weight, certainly not fat. I only have about 5 lbs to lose, too.

Measuring and competing with body fat percentage is probably the better way to go, but it's too complicated for an online competition.

Body Fat percentage would be much more accurate and everyone should rely on that more than the scale. I weighed myself yesterday and was 4 pounds lighter than my weigh-in but didn't post it because I know it doesn't represent any real weight loss probably just water weight.
