Hello Malkah, thank you for telling me about this message board! I can use some encouraging words too, as I've hit a plateau.

Please don't think of the small piece of pie as a failure! I realize that you are giving up sugars and white flour, but the carb cycling diet (promoted by Chris Powell) allows one reward day per week (up to 1,000 calories more than our regular caloric daily intake) recognizing that it's impossible to give up the food we love forever. That's why the typical diet doesn't work long-term.

I've also started walking at 6:00 a.m. It cooler, less muggy, and the bugs aren't as bad. I finish my walk by 8:00 and be out the door by 9:00. If I wait until the evening to walk, I'm often too tired. This seems to be working for me.

Keep up the great work! You've almost reached your goal!

Hi Johanna, I've figured out how to communicate with each other. Just click on the "Cheerboard" :). How are you doing?
I'm not doing so great, went to a party last night and had a piece of pie...just one, very small piece, but I wasn't going to have any. Plus, I had very low energy yesterday and didn't get to walk my 3 miles. Kept falling asleep. I just couldn't help it. How are you faring with everything?
