Wow - so inspiring - and I commend you for taking this into your own hands and doing what you can to have more good days. Personally I don't think you need to load up on protein to lose weight. I think those of us with chronic debilitating conditions are fighting don't have our bodies on our side as much anymore - the tiniest amounts of inflammation in the form of food or some sort of exposure can create big set backs in weight. But working around it is possible - just takes the ultimate in unconquerable will. I've gotten much better as giving up more of the foods I have to avoid over the last 9 months, and I'm seeing a much better improvement in functionality, though the scale hasn't budged so much, people have noticed things like "glow", increased energy, a less-puffy face, and those are all big wins in my book! Stay the course and you'll rock it! ;)
