I hit my target at the start of the week, only to see the scale go up again the last couple of days! I'm consistently under my calories and doing my best to avoid the easter treats, I think it's my hormones and water weight coming in just to sabotage me before weigh in day. I've got a child free morning so I'm going to try get a good hour on the spin bike now, & aim for at least 45 mins tomorrow morning. Any other tips to get through the last couple of days and drop this pesky 1lb that has returned to me?

Oh me too! We went out to dinner last night and I am up. To much sodium for sure for me. Next couple days water water!

I think I'm juicing today so the weight of the food doesn't weigh me down. I'm right there

  • I made it!!! 💪I have to give credit to PerfectAmino by BodyHealth. Before a coach at the gym suggested it, I wasn't very successful at losing fat while keeping muscle. I couldn't get enough protein from food and supplemented with protein powders and bars without realizing how much of it turns into sugar and fat, so I gained muscle and fat. And without sufficient protein, i was losing fat and muscle. Losing muscle was the worst because it led to weight regain very quickly. Most of that regained weight was fat, which slowed my metabolism and made me feel crappier and fatter. With PerfectAminos, I've lost 17.5% of body fat in about 2 months while keeping muscles! Check it out if you want to try https://prz.io/P3mLpk9Fm
Now I'll have to maintain till the weigh-out. However, I was invited to an Easter celebration over the weekend and really want to go and splurge a little. I know I can reuse the progress weigh-in for 48 hours. I'm thinking of submitting progress weigh-in on Saturday morning and reusing it on Monday for the final weigh-out. Has anyone tried it before?

  • Slenderizing, I got worried, so posted your link and asked for comments on BodyHealth Facebook group. I understand that individual aminos are different from PerfectAminos. I haven't tried any other amino supplements but I remember PerfectAminos were developed by a doctor, which made me trust them.

No worries if you don't know the names. What you said was perfect. Are you lifting weights or are you running?

Sorry, did not mean to ask so many questions.

I love halo top, for cravings

Sarah M.

I'm going with the "eat what you want, add what you need" method. I crave chocolate, I eat an oatcake with a couple of teaspoons of 100% peanut butter or meridian hazelnut coco butter, with one square of 70% dark chocolate on top. It's about the same calories as 3 squares of chocolate.... but if I was just trying to eat 3 squares, I'd probably eat the whole bar. the protein & fiber in the oatcake and nut butter keep me better satisfied and help stop the sugar spike that leads to more cravings.

I’m always fascinated that folks join in the middle of a bet, do y’all normally lose all of your bet in 2 weeks??

Nope! I was thinking the same thing! I could do it a week or so in if it were a 3% goal maybe - like the Transformers.

I think Elena’s got it right. I could do it in 2 weeks but I could not make a misstep and reach the goal - a lot of sacrifice on the eating side, lots of burning calories (which makes the first part hard) - and even then I may be just shy of the goal. It’s not a bet I’d want to take - but that extra motivation could be just what some folks need or want…!

Sarah M.

I joined a week in, and lost 33% of my goal in a week, so I'm hoping it's doable! I think I'd struggle with less than 3 weeks though. it's my first time dieting since last summer & I know the weight will fall faster the first few weeks of starting so I'm optimistic!

So I did a few dietbets winter 2022/spring 2023 and did quite well. But then I stopped entering them/tracking calories and gained it all back plus extra. for those who have been doing this a while, what are your tips to keep the weight off and continue losing when the challenge is over? or do you just keep doing challenge after challenge?

oh the maintainer game sounds like a good idea, I haven't seen those. I think I'd find it tricky to jump from game to game whilst dieting because I find 4% pretty challenging for 4 weeks so I don't think I could do it continuously. If it was 2% every 4 weeks I could probably do that continuously!

Sarah M.

who knows. I've been given a spin bike so maybe it will be easier now I'm not struggling so much to find time to fit in enjoyable excercise.
