My mother- in -law decreased her cholesterol significantly with red yeast rice under her Drs supervision. The wt. loss and exercising will help. I think my sweet intake has played a big part in my cholesterol being on the higher side.

500?! Wow, I did not even know it went that high. Thank you for sharing your husband's story and success, gives me hope. I feel so upset about all of this. My BMI is only 23 so to me it make no sense, but I am determined to drop 20 and see what happens. Trying so hard to avoid meds. I bought red yeast rice, coQ10, nicin, fish oil, and flax seed. If I am missing some suppliment to help in my journey, please let me know.

Hey Isabella! My husband has family history of bad cholesterol...his was over 500. So he has lost 20 pounds and it has really helped! You can do it:)
