I use the acv gummies. Tastes like green apple but works

There are tons of studies that have proved this wrong. You just need to be in a caloric deficit

Rant: I’m doing it but when looking for “snacks” staying under 21 grams of carbs a day is hard. 1 week down 2 weeks to go ... I heard if you are condos any at something for 21 days it’s becomes a habit... lord I hope that’s true

Try cooking some pepperoni or salami slices (oven or microwave) to make "chips". I also like to snack on cheese or some nuts (pay attention to the portion size on nuts, it's easy to over eat on the carbs).

Thanks Teresa and yes vita I’m working my way into it just have to incorporate more fat

I took the picture but typed in the wrong weight for the week weigh in... I don’t see a place to fix it. I entered a new unofficial weigh in but I don’t know how to edit the official weekly one. Thanks!!

There isn't a way to edit it that I know of. I once did that during a transformer, and I had to email diet bet because the mistake disqualified me. They fixed it pretty quickly so hopefully they will for you too. Good luck!

Any tips for staying asleep? I keep waking up at 3 or 4am and I can't get back to sleep. I've tried epson salt bath, aromatherapy, no caffeine, yoga, I just can't figure it out

Lavender and magnesium

Melatonin and I just started using Trazadone. It’s a prescription but a better choice then Benadryl

I tried Keto for a month, but I've struggled with muscle cramps and feeling weak during exercise.

I'm wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them.

I'm now going to try a low carb diet. Eating carbs before exercise seems to be a better option.

My experience with keto is that using fat as fuel means you need exercises that are a slow burn, such as walking, nothing with bursts of energy because fat burns slow and long. Carbs are the high burst of energy. Looking into fitness, I was told by keto peeps to eat carbs just a touch before the workout, they fueled the workout then you were back to burning fat for fuel. In theory that's why we have weight, because energy we are intaking has no use so it is stored. Lots of carbs, lots of flashbang energy with nowhere to go equals weight. I mean yes not for everybody that's just me in theory experience. I personally go low carb because I feel better, don't feel restricted and it keeps my bloat down.

Thanks Chipper. This is very helpful.

Can you drink too much water? I typically drink 64 oz. in the morning before lunch, 64 oz. before the work day is over and then at least 32 oz more before bed.

Thanks everyone and make it a great day!

I'm the same. I have a 40oz bottlewnd and I drink two before I break my fast at lunchtime, 2 more throughout the day and then another at bed. I move a lot though and it's SOOOO hot here in Southern California. Great job, I say keep your body happy and hydrated

Yes you can drink too much water, but you'd know if that was happening because you'd feel confused and disoriented. It's recommended not to drink more than 32 oz. In an hour.

Questions for the group! For those with hair (extra points for ethnic hair) do y’all wash ur hair after every workout? I get really sweaty and feel like I HAVE to wash my hair but I don’t wanna over wash it.

Also, is sweating after a shower normal? I workout then shower immediately after and I’m still sweating lol

Haha I have to wait to shower because I swear MORE for like 10-20 minutes after a workout

I don’t have ethnic hair so no bonus points for me but I used to wash my hair after every workout (which was EVERY DAY). I went cold turkey on shampoo and kept showering after workouts and just “wash” my hair with water and a tiny bit of conditioner. It took some adjusting but now I shampoo less than once a week and have honestly never liked my hair more.

I have course/tight hair curl, and I also work in dermatology. It truly depends on how fine your hair texture is, as to how often you should wash it. On average it's not healthy to wash "ethnic" hair on a daily basis for various reasons, however, If you feel as though it's needed after each workout, you definitely should, just be sure to condition your hair and scalp afterwards. And as someone mentioned in an earlier response, dry shampoo is an option, just know that it can leave your hair looking powdered. I personally keep a short cut for that very reason, I sweat profusely from my scalp, and short hair allows me to be very flexible with washing. Hope this helps!

Agreed! You are not alone in this. I’m literally taking this one meal at a time. I just cheated on my meal plan and had some pretzels. They were delicious but not something I need very often. It’s important for me to come on and get ideas, motivation, encouragement and keep going! You’ve got this- one meal at a time! (And if it were easy, none of us would be on dietbet!)

Crashed out of Keto with a carb frenzy today and loved it. So good to be bad sometimes. Think of it as a diet holiday. But never give up.
