Non-scale victory of the week!

My daughter took me out for dinner on Mother's day and I ate within my low carb plan (except for 1 bite of cheesecake). There was so much food that I had 2 days worth of delicious leftovers! My pants are looser than a week ago too. I exercised and walked daily and got all my water in.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Nothing. I was focused and highly motivated every single day!

Non-scale victory of the week!

As of May 1 I've gotten back on track with water, food and walking. I'm using my Fitbit again and tracking my steps. I actually pushed myself yesterday and walked 500+ steps per hour for my 14 hours of activity and drank all my water for the day. That hadn't happened in months. I know it was only 1 day but I got up this morning, submitted my weigh in and started walking and drinking my water for the day. As swollen and painful as my knees are I feel great that I did it. I hope to continue to walk through the pain every day and continue to lose.

Non-scale victory of the week!

Being able to transition to solid foods now. Despite my weight yo-yoing since my surgery in early March due to a soft diet, my clothes still fit well.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Not much. I've been walking as much as my knees will allow, doing some heavy spring cleaning and I'm back on track with my food since I started eating solids again. I've lost over 5 lbs (of the weight I gained from eating only mushroom soup and avocados for the last 6 weeks) this past week. Another 2.6 lbs down will bring me back to my pre-surgery weight from 6 weeks ago then I can start moving forward again and hopefully lose another 10 lbs or so before my grandson's high school grad in mid June.

What do you feel you could have done better this week?

Forget Starbucks is in my village. Those mocha frappucinos are evil. They call out to me.

What are your goals for the upcoming week?

Continue eating low carb and use the treadmill if it's too ugly to walk outside. I think I broke through and discarded a couple of lbs. so want to build on that little success.
