I think today's workout was the hardest workout I've done this year. The entire thing was a fight not to quit ( mentally, that is. My body quit on me quite a few times lol ). So thankful it was only 45 minutes long. I like the workouts that make you dig deep because they test your mental strength, but boy do they suck while you're doing them!

  • So here it goes...

    This journey will not always be easy. I will not only post when I'm motivated and doing well. I think it's important to acknowledge when it's not going so well. Now, I can't say that I've been stuffing my face with fast food and junk, but I just have not been feeling motivated. Do you all remember my post below from a week ago? This past week has really proven to be the ultimate test. Although I have been good nutrition wise, I haven't had the motivation to work out or drink all my water (1 gallon a day is my goal). I pushed myself to do TWO workouts this past week. TWO!!! I usually do 5 or 6 per week. Im not going to be hard on myself because I understand that this is part of the journey. Im learning how to get through the not so good moments and keep going. I just have to keep going. I haven't gained any weight, but I also haven't lost. At this rate, my goal below may not be attainable. I gotta get back to the drawing board and figure this out!

Alice, Yes! I once worked my thighs so much that I squatted down to look at something in a grocery store and literally couldn't get back up! I had to do a whole bunch of weird positions and use my hand basket for support to stand up again. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

My husband thinks it's funny that there's a term for non-scale victories- NSV- we had a good laugh about it this morning. He said all his victories are non-scale because he doesn't get on the scale😂

  • Just finished today's group workout and logged in to find out that final grades just posted today. It's finally over! Unfortunately, that now means I have one less excuse to skip workouts and/or stress eat.
    lol

    What's funny is my son just recently started asking me if I had to do homework if he didn't want to stop playing. Sorry buddy, but you wasted your time learning that question. From now on, the answer will forever be "No" lol

I know we’re supposed to be touchy, feely, you can do it vibe in here. But these winnings are pretty pathetic given the total number of contestants.

Tracking. That’s why we need thousands and thousands of failures.

Did the big money with healthy wage last year. They do pay bigger. But was hoping we could find a bigger pool of people that couldn’t hold themselves accountable.

No ill will towards anyone. With COVID it’s hard to put strippers through college on my own.

Strength training is key!!! Ziek is correct, you can't target where you lose. Diet and cardio will only get you so far. Strength training is what is going to transform your body and keep you from losing mostly water weight and lean body mass.
