Ok! After talking about it for about a month, I actually have committed to intermittent fasting, and I’m loving the flexibility of my food! I’m an early bird, so I do 7-4. I actually feel so much more energized. I had read 9 hours was good when you’re new, and a little easier for females (I believe hormone wise), so I’m so happy with it! Any tips and tricks to ensure I stick with it? It’s almost been a week, and I’m finally working with something that seems sustainable for me! Days I have to eat later (or want to) I plan on adjusting my hours to suit (or obviously making an exception on occasion if needed. Please share your feedback for those of you with experience and success. Thank you!

I just started 2 weeks ago. I am doing 10-6. I feel so great! Actually kinda surprised.. and not sure how I feel about 'skipping' breakfast. But I am willing to give it a chance

  • Happy Transformation Tuesday everyone, I started my first DietBet in January not knowing how in the world would I lose 14 pounds in 4 weeks. I did it and every month I have lost so now I’m down 131 pounds. I thought it would take me a year just to lose a 100 pounds so I’m definitely excited to see where the end of the year where I’m at. I’m shooting for half my weight by the end. But battling the Holidays will definitely be a tester for me. So I’m mentally preparing myself now. IG is @warrior_jessica_slashes_fat

That's me in a nut shell. I'm not giving up. That's not an option. Every loss has taught me something. What worked what didn't. What drove me crazy and what motivated me. So I'm counting those lost games as a victory too. Biggest mistake I ever made was not coming in here when I was feeling frustrated, eating crazy, being lazy, giving excuses for making dumb choices, or unmotivated. So I'm going to be in here everyday all the time. Live this tribe.

Track your food officially daily (e.g. my fitness pal). I found that helps me a lot!

I had lost just over 20 lbs over Winter and gained back every single pound late spring. Starting over AGAIN is frustrating but I know once I get my stride back and get back into the habit of eating better that I am going to feel so much better about myself. Happier even. As someone who struggles with depression is amazing what a good diet and some excersize naturally does for your mental health, self image, and energy. First I have to get my stride back.

Totally with you on this. It’s really hard when you’re dealing with depression to stick to the program, but once you do you feel so much better. Props for having the courage to get back into it!

  • When I workout, clean, or some other activity, I prefer to listen to audiobooks rather than music. I just finished this audiobook today at the gym called Am I Enough. A few quotes from it are “I am beautiful not because of who I am but because of whose I am.” “To the girl that is insecure and finds herself frustrated when she looks in the mirror, I am sorry you are going through that. To the girl who has gone somewhere in a nice dress and still not felt pretty enough, I’ve been there. And to the girl who has been told that she is ugly, I’ve suffered that pain too...You are loved. You are worthy.” And many times over “You are beautiful” “You are enough”.

TFW you had your veggie lasagna weighed out with the perfect number of calories and are eating it but had to get up to answer the door and while you’re gone the DOG EATS THE REST. 😡😑
Now I have no idea how many calories I ate.

I think my dog is deliberately sabotaging me. 😂
