  • Ice pack has been my best friend today. Unfortunately I’m out for working out for another 2 weeks. I’m cleared to run only if there is no discomfort or pain during or after. I did something yesterday that has left me in more pain today…doctors orders to rest and ice. I’m glad I’ve hit the goal for this dietbet.

  • Was able to get in my run before the rain starts. I needed this run. After yesterday…3 hour kids birthday party with 18 screaming girls and my 2 crazy boys in the heat…ice cream cake, chips, candy and juice…bouncy castle and swimming all equal chaos and an exhausted momma. And reminded me of two things why I only have 2 kids and don’t host kid parties. 😂

  • Still sidelined from my strength workouts or any workout that involves my upper body due to underarm/side chest pain. Luckily I’m still able to run. I’m off to the doctors on Monday to determine if it’s a strain or an actual tear. My husband thinks based on the pain it’s a tear which is a lengthy recovery.

    Trying to stay positive and keep smiling…and not to eat my feelings.

I asked the same not too long ago lol. Seems like we are all linked up this month. Mine started cpl days ago but I'm still hanging on the edge of going over goal...ya just watch what you eat and lots of water

I second water and limit salt. Don’t give into cravings either. This time around I didn’t gain anything and I normally gain 2-3 pounds.

  • Making myself a priority! If I’m not the healthiest both physically and mentally, how can I expect to take care of my family?

    Right now that most important with the pain in my chest. My husband (emergency worker) is confident I’ve torn something…so until it’s diagnosed I’m taking it easy. Lucky running at a slower pace, doesn’t hurt but putting on my t-shirt does. Really hoping it’s nothing serious that will put my strength training on hold. Positive vibes.

  • Unfortunately I have to pause my strength workouts for this week. I may have pulled a muscle in my chest so the doctor has requested I take it easy this week until I see him Monday. But the positive is I’m still able to run and do any HIIT that doesn’t engage my chest muscles. My mood gets impacted when I’m not able to be active so I’m glad o can still run. And another gorgeous summer day for a run!

  • Yay!! It’s my birthday, my weight finally fell from doing the right things consistently this week (one tenth of a pound from goal!), I am running kids around to a few places before they land at sitters this afternoon, so my husband and I can have a two-night hotel date over the mountains in Reno—and I scored this parks pass at the library just now!! I’m stoked to have the opportunity to adventure in Tahoe or Donner on the way there or way back, and not have it be all food, cocktails, pool, romance (not that those are bad! But YAY for hikes with a VIEW and dip into beautiful waters in a heat wave!!

  • It’s officially the first day of SUMMER!! Celebrated with a run on a gorgeous day. Next up a surprise water gun fight with my kids then of course ice cream! It’s not summer without ice cream!

It’s great if you are short on time or just starting to workout. The workouts are 20 mins which is shorter than I’m use to but will work great with my running and summer break starting.
