In January of 2015 my Mom and Sisters and I decided to try a new weight loss program to kick off the year. I knew that I had gained weight, but when I stepped on the scale I was horrified! I weighed in at 375 lbs, double the weight of a baby elephant. I was disgusted with myself, but I was DETERMINED to make a change, I took to our diet with a furvor, but it was a 28 day diet. I lost 30lbs, which is amazing for 28 days. I fell off the wagon for a while, but didn't gain any of the weight back. So now in May I'm 345 and ready again to make more permanent changes. I WILL NOT FAIL!

Good for you! I also started changing my eating in January and by March had lost 34 lbs. I decided to cut myself some slack and didn't follow any specific program in April and the first part of May--my sole goal was to maintain and I primarily focused on portion control rather than food choices. When I did my official weigh in for Diet bet, I was down another 2 lbs, even though I had not been focusing on reducing--pretty exciting for me. So, maybe a breather was a good thing for you too and now you are ready to get back to business :). Good luck and congratulations!
