Confession of my addiction (can anyone out there relate to this?):

What a long day at work (or maybe not even). I would come home and eat a healthy dinner. Mmmmm I love Chicken and Broccoli.

Then whew let's relax with some TV.

I could go for something crunchy - everyone has snacks - right? I worked out today.

Hey look - Salt & Vinegar Chips. I'll just have a couple, 28 grams = 160 calories, maybe 17 chips, okay.

Ha, that sure was a great TV show.... are all the chips gone? They sure are putting less chips in the bags these days. I really didn't eat that whole bag. Oh well, I worked out.

Next day(s) - Why I can't lose weight, I run, workout, eat right....up to that time after dinner anyways.

Fast forward - DietBet Challenge - Oh ohhhhh now what. First night craving....WANT SALT & VINEGAR!

Make it through the first night - next day - store - Hey look - they make Salt & Vinegar Almonds!!!

Went home - portioned out the almonds into baggies. 170 calories = 28 grams = 28 nuts.

More calories, so why not stay with the chips and just portion them out, right?

Turns out, the flavoring on the chips was actually created to have a high impact of flavor when it hits the tongue, and then quickly fade so you take another. I did not know this until just last week.

Those tricky chip companies. That's why you can't eat just one.

Almonds are more satiating, I really chew them and the salt & vinegar taste lasts. I rarely eat the whole bag AND I only eat during commercials which keep me focused on what I am eating - Fast forward during commercials and that snack time shrinks even more.

All I can say is I am almost at my DietBet goal thanks to this change. Please share any Salt & Vinegar tricks you may have with me, I am always open to try new healthy treats.

And remember - Just Push Play!
