I hate running.  I think it's because I have always seen it as a punishment my whole life while playing sports.  My basketball and lacrosse coaches loved to blow the whistle and have us line up and run endlessly whenever mistakes were made.  So I guess you could say that I have PTSD towards running haha.

But what I did discover last fall when I started my first dietbet was that running doesn't have to be that awful.  Once I get back some endurance ability, I actually found it enjoyable.  The hardest part is starting.  Which is what I plan on doing tomorrow morning before class.  I'm not sure for how long, or how far, but I'm going to start.  I know it's most likely going to hurt like hell, and I'm probably going to feel out of breath and miserable, but if not now, then when?

I found that running helped me the most in weight loss, especially when I built my endurance to withstand 7 mile runs.  And once I get past the out of breath cramping feelings, I found that it's a great time to think and meditate about life.

It's gonna be awful in the beginning, but I'm ready to start the journey!
