Weight gain (or loss) isn't instantaneous. Just because you went over yesterday doesn't mean the scale will be up today. Remeber, 3500 calories is equal to one pound of body fat. Even if you binged yesterday and ate an extra 3500 calories your body wouldn't convert it to fat that quickly. From my personal experience, when I have a bad nutrition day the scale generally reflects that 2 or 3 days after the fact.

Thanks! Extra reason to watch what I eat these next couple days, then! And you're totally right: it's a cumulative thing, not an instantaneous effect. (Although when I REALLY binge--like Thanksgiving Day level--I *do* see it the next day.) :P

That's not surprising. When you really binge you're carrying more weight simply because the food has not yet been digested and released.
