
Despite a number of minor obstacles, I'm actually quite proud of how yesterday turned out. First, my fiancé had a rough day at work and was making noises about skipping the gym, but (giving him full credit for good decision-making) eventually decided that it was better to pound out the frustrations with weights instead of grabbing a drink. Second, when I got to the gym my boot camp class was cancelled. Doh! So I swam laps (slowly) instead. Finally, my "no chips, no cheese" resolve crumbled when our friend who is a personal trainer ordered the whole table chips and queso! Doh again! But I practiced moderation by ordering an appetizer for my meal and we had a lovely time overall.
Today's Goal
Since the rain thwarted our bike commute AND today is not a gym day, my goal today is to be fastidious in keeping within my calorie goal. For good measure I think I'll eat a quick lunch at my desk and walk the treadmill during my lunch break. 20 minutes is better than nothing!
