I just saw Lynda's blog post about non-scale victories (NSVs).  I've been thinking of those all week.

I discovered one this morning.  I can now lift myself out of the bathtub without getting up on my knees first. Just grab the tub side and stand up! It's been awhile since I've been able to do that.

Yesterday I threw away 3 bras because they were too big.  The band was just too loose around me.  My girls have always been large. Well "large" is an understatement.  And they need must have support.  I went to a speciality shop and got fitted professionally.  I'm in a 44J now.  I bought 2 bras.  These have built-in hydraulic lifts in them.  (Not really!)  The difference in appearance is dramatic.  My sister said "You don't have any boobs now!"  What?!?

Just cleared out some clothes in my closet this week.  Out with the 3x tees.  Out with several 2x tees. I'll keep 3 for work outs. I'm wearing 1x now.

When I park in the garage - I can get out of the car without fear of bumping my door into the wall. No more squeezing to get out.

No longer huffing & puffing climbing the stairs in the house.

I automatically park far from the doors to stores and restaurants. Out where the folks in those costly vehicles park to avoid dings in their doors.

The one NSV I'm waiting for... the one I will celebrate with a little victory dance... is to be able to once again cross my legs.  It's the simple things I miss.

What NSVs have you experienced?
