For these cases, it is great to have some kind of circuit training app or another workout on stand by, which you can do anywhere (no equipment required). A great rule for me is: I have to do the first 15 minutes of the scheduled workout, no questions asked. Then I can quit, if I really feel like crap. Of course, at that point I already got started, so most of the times I will finish. Tracking miles, steps, or workout minutes (and setting goals for each day, week, month, year) is also a big help, because you don't want to slide back after faithfully staying on track for so long. Many times I got back to working out because my goal for the month or year was at risk. Motivation is overrated. Stick to the plan and do it anyway. You will be so proud you stayed on track!
