
I finally broke through my post-Mardi Gras plateau this week, but I noticed that my drinking habits were still ramped up more than necessary. At the beginning of this Transformer I had a little deal with myself that I would abstain from all alcohol on the day following any day that I exceeded my calorie goal -- so even if I have the room in the calories for a glass of wine with dinner, if I didn't make my goal the previous day I have to abstain. It worked well. Good motivation to not let things slide out of control and to help make up for my cheat days. I'm going to go back to that.
