Realizing that I needed to eat differently (and less) than my boyfriend was one of my biggest hurdles. For me it wasn't realistic to be buying or cooking two completely different things (it takes out the social aspect of sharing a meal with loved ones!) so it took a lot of focus on portion control and adding healthy alternatives on the side. Good luck finding something that works for you, that's really most of the struggle!
