Whether you want to lose those last 10lbs, or you have a significant amount of weight to lose, embarking on a weight-loss regimen can be daunting. And it can be frustrating! Many people want their goal to happen "yesterday" and end up using diet tricks, pills, enhancements, etc, that can actually hurt you in the longt-erm.

Proper weight-loss is a slow and steady approach. Change a few small things each week -- eating more servings of vegetables, walking for 30min, cutting down on junk food intake. As time goes on, those small changes will be easier, they will become more habitual, and you can build on them. Before you know it, you've changed your lifestyle! But it ca be a slow process, after all, you didn't gain weight overnight so you can't lose it overnight, either.

And whatever you do, DO NOT weigh yourself daily! I know that's a hard habit to break, but you can end up feeling defeated as your weight can fluctuate often due to water intake, exercise, hormonal changes, etc. Weigh yourself the same day and time each week, and focus more on how your clothes are fitting. Remember, muscle is more dense than fat, so 1lb of muscle takes up less space than 1lb of fat. You can be losing fat, gaining muscle, and changing your body composition, but may not see the scale move all that much! And that's ok!

You're doing a great job by committing to a healthier lifestyle, and your body will thank you!
