Great looking foods! Make sure you get some lean proteins in there too. What type of exercises are you doing? I've been mixing it up with Jillian DVDs, freestyle stuff, yoga, walking/jogging intervals, etc.

I love quinoa! Its the best super food!! I've even added it to soups. Your muscles need the protein especially when exercising. I try to get a good balance of proteins and all food groups. If I don't I wind up with crazy mad cravings and then I'm literally living inside my frig and pantry for an entire day until its satisfied. I like yoga before bed as a wind down while still getting in some good core exercise and breathing. Jillians DVDs are tough but worth doing. I can get through most of the 30 day shred level 1 without collapsing on the floor! I've learned NOT to push too hard at first. You'll wind up with sore muscles for days and then you can't exercise at all let alone go up and down the stairs or raise your arms. That sucks and it defeats the purpose of getting in shape I think. Slow and steady. Since you walk can you add in 30 second bursts of a slow jog for starters? Thats what I do too. I use mailboxes or street signs as my markers. Good luck and keep in touch!

thank you for suggesting the 30 day shred! I only managed 5 minutes until the push ups and then collapsed. But hey, small steps. I can't imagine doing all of the 30 minutes and more than once! But it's a nice goal to work towards, ins't it?
